Zimbabwe's leader criticised Western nations' attempts to 'proscribe new rights contrary to our values, norms, traditions, and beliefs'

Zimbabwe's leader criticised Western nations' attempts to 'proscribe new rights contrary to our values, norms, traditions, and beliefs'

Robert Mugabe tells UN General Assembly: 'We are not gays!'

Addressing the UN General Assembly, Robert Mugabe, the Zimbabwean President called Donald Trump "Giant Gold Goliath" who threatens to make other countries extinct and further on told Mr. Trump to “blow your trumpet” for peace.

It came two days after Mr. Trump’s own address to the UN, in which he strongly condemned a number of countries, including North Korea, Iran, and Venezuela.

Mr. Mugabe, 93, appeared to have fallen asleep during Mr. Trump’s address earlier in the week. Images showed him with his head resting on his hand and his eyes seemingly closed.

However, he appears to have had heard enough of the US President’s speech to criticise him in his own, comparing Mr. Trump to the biblical figure of Goliath, a giant who had attempted to destroy the Israelites before being killed by David with a slingshot.

Mr. Mugabe said: “Some of us were embarrassed, if not frightened, by what appeared to be the return of the biblical giant gold Goliath. Are we having a return of Goliath to our midst, who threatens the extinction of other countries?

“May I say to the United States President, Mr. Trump, please blow your trumpet. Blow your trumpet in a musical way towards the values of unity, peace, cooperation, togetherness, dialogue, which we have always stood for.”

The Zimbabwean autocrat said the US' approach to other countries should be based on those values rather than “the promise on our damnation”.

Mr. Mugabe has been a fierce critic of Western intervention and claimed in his speech that Zimbabwe had defeated the “monster of imperialism”.

Mugabe against homosexuality

Robert Mugabe used the United Nations podium on Monday evening to attack homosexuality in front of the General Assembly.

Deviating from his prepared remarks, the 91-year-old leader of Zimbabwe reportedly barked: “We are not gays!”

Mr. Mugabe made the comment, which was greeted by laughter from the audience, as he criticised Western nations’ “double standards” and attempts to “prescribe ‘new rights’ that are contrary to our values, norms, traditions, and beliefs.”

Zimbabwe has one of the worst LGBT rights records on the African continent, with the country’s leader frequently demonising homosexuality.  In 2013, he described homosexuals as “worse than pigs, goats, and birds.”

In his speech to the UN Zimbabwe’s leader – who has been in power since 1987 – claimed the UN Human Rights charter did not give states “the right to some to sit in judgment over others”.

“In that regard, we reject the politicisation of this important issue and the application of double standards to victimise those who dare think and act independently of the self-anointed prefects of our time.”

“We equally reject attempts to prescribe 'new rights' that are contrary to our values, norms, traditions, and beliefs. We are not gays! Cooperation and respect for each other will advance the cause of human rights worldwide. Confrontation, vilification, and double-standards will not.”

Mr. Mugabe’s remarks follow decades of state-sanction persecution against homosexuality, with male same-sex sexual activity remaining illegal within Zimbabwe.

A Pew survey in 2013 found the African continent – with the notable exception of South Africans – overwhelmingly intolerant of gay men and women.

The fact that European and American leaders interfere in African politics doesn't mean that they will tell African leaders what to do. No European or American leader listens to an African leader.

Even during elections in Africa, they send American or European observers to go to monitor the elections but no African monitors election in Europe or America despite the massive corruption in both Europe and America.

Africa is a continent which has suffered a great deal. Slavery, Apartheid, colonialism, and all kinds of persecutions, yet European and American governments are never satisfied or showed any remorse for what they have done to Africa.

It's therefore, necessary for Mugabe to defend Africa by saying that "America and Western nations' attempts to 'proscribe new rights contrary to our values, norms, traditions, and beliefs."

Frankly speaking, even if homosexuality exists in Africa at all, it wasn't as large as what we are now witnessing in Europe and America. Because of the influence of Europe and America, some Africans want to copy this abominable act of Europeans and Americans.

Mugabe on extinction

About the threat to make other countries extinct, Mugabe was actually referring to the threat Trump made against North Korea. According to Trump North Korea will be totally destroyed. However, Mugabe has experienced this type of extinction in (Rhodesia) now Zimbabwe before.

Decades ago, the US government planned to extinct Africa, hence, the Aids epidemic, followed by the Ebola bio-weapon triggered in the West African countries of Liberia, Guinea, and Sierra Leone.

Mugabe is aware of the discovery of HIV antibodies, tuberculosis, and contaminated vaccination, against Zimbabwean children, which was purposely done by the Pasteur Institute of France, leading to the explosion of venereal diseases, which were never exposed to the media and the world of literature, the way it should have been done.

Zimbabwe, formerly Rhodesia, went through a very dark period under the regime of Ian Smith, and after his removal; the place became a forgotten country. This is the reason Mugabe doesn't trust any European or American leader.

He once said, "Blair, keep your England and let me keep my Zimbabwe." No one should hate Mugabe because he wouldn't accept homosexuality in Africa. Africans are dying in large numbers from Aids every day, firstly, no one cares, and secondly, they are not ready to speak the truth that Aids is a bio-weapon, so Europe and America shouldn't force homosexuality on Africa.

About 95% of Africans aren't interested in enjoying the 'back of man,' so let Europeans and Americans keep their homosexuality to save Africans dying of Aids every day without any solution.

Las Vegas mass Shooting

Our condolences to the families of those who lost their loved ones in the Las Vegas massacre. This is the most bitter experience which many will live with it in America for the rest of their lives.

Trump called the Las Vegas massacre ‘an act of pure evil’ but if the American government will be sincere to speak the truth' they will understand that 'an act of pure evil' is the testing of bio-weapon Ebola in the West African countries of Sierra Leone, Guinea, and Liberia, which claimed thousands of lives.

If in God America trust, then they shouldn't mock God else God will mock them.
