Cristiano Ronaldo, the rich and famous football star faces tax evasion charges in Spain, which could lead to a fine or prison sentence

Cristiano Ronaldo is in trouble. The Spanish authorities are considering whether he should face charges over allegations by the country's tax agency that he defrauded the authorities of $16.7 million between 2011 and 2014.

This is not the first time a rich man is in the nest of the law for tax evasion and it will not be the end. Last year, a Spanish Court found both the Barcelona star Lionel Messi and his father, Jorge Horacio Messi, guilty of tax fraud

According to the Spanish prosecutors, the father-son involved in a criminal scheme to avoid paying over €4 million in taxes related to earnings from the sale and licensing of Lionel Messi’s image. It shocks people beyond belief why rich people are often exposed of tax evasion than poor people.

“Truly I tell you, it is hard for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of heaven. Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.” Have you ever heard of these quotations about rich people made by Jesus at Matthew Chapter 19:23-24?

What about "the wealth of the rich is their fortified city, but poverty is the ruin of the poor, recorded at Proverbs 10:15?" Wait, the lyrics of Max Romeo's song, 'Norman the gambler' will tell you more. The opportunity house master, with pretty girls at the back, Norman never lose, always wins, yet Norman never gives away a bit. If you ask him for a less, he said he wants more.

In this world of corruption, the poor people find it comfortable to pay taxes than rich people. A poor man may not have any property. He works all his life to feed his family and at the end of the year, the tax office sends him extra tax to pay because he has over worked, while rich people evade tax by producing forged documents to cover their properties.

For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs. Timothy 6:10. Rich people lack nothing, yet many are never satisfied because of greed.

The desire to acquire more wealth prevents them to have a good sleep. "Poor no friend," because of their status, the rich have only rich people as friends. On their birthdays, they get expensive gifts from their friends, yet they are never satisfied since they plan every night over how to evade tax, to get more wealth and to protect it.

The god of many rich people is their money. Every man was once a baby, so is the rich man but after making it in life, they look down on poor people and some of them sponsor the execution of the poor as an environmental cleansing or global depopulation. Some rich people are so cruel that many wonder what kind of heart they have in their chest.

There is nothing wrong to work hard and acquire money but it's very bad for rich people to evade tax. Many times they write their autobiographies over how they became successful people but they don't include the petty crimes and shady deals they were involved.

At the end, the poor readers buy their books to increase their wealth because they also want to be rich and successful. Be careful what you wish for my friend because not everything that glitters is gold.

As a matter of fact, people don't have anything special to learn from rich people because many of them are criminals and like those that acquired their wealth genuinely, some of them worship the money and find ways to evade tax.

Had I know is always at last. Very soon Ronaldo will realize that it's not good to cheat. He is now going to pay his lawyer a large sum of money to defend him. What shall it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his poor soul? Would Ronaldo's experience teach rich tax evaders a lesson?

Not at all, lessons, bad experiences and serving time in prison don't change people all the time. As long as people are addicted to greed, there will always be tax evasion.

Above all, Ecclesiastes 5:10, reveals that whoever loves money never has enough; whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with their income.
